Job Description
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and up to the required standards.
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development programs, including goal setting, stakeholder coordination, deliverables, budgeting, and performance tracking. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to ensure successful planning and execution of programs—on time, within scope, and within budget.
Location : Kyoto or Keihanna, Japan
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and maintain program strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Define and monitor program KPIs to ensure progress and performance.
Manage customer contracts and serve as the primary point of contact for program-related communications.
Facilitate regular customer interactions, including meetings and status updates.
Coordinate risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues throughout the program lifecycle.
Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, sales, supply chain, service, and support) to align program needs and resources.
Oversee the full program lifecycle from initiation through closure.
Support the implementation of program management processes and tools.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Note : This is an individual contributor role and does not include direct personnel management responsibilities.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Experience in financial management and budget oversight.
Proven ability to manage customer contracts, deliverables, and expectations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in both English and Japanese.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Program Manager.
Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers, is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications :
MBA with a focus on Project or Program Management.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI).
Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
