POSITION PURPOSE
Liaison among Japan OEMs, Japan customer team, GBEs, GTX electric, and software function team.
He or she needs to understand the customer technical requirement clearly and propose technical offer, aligning with above cross functional teams.
Customer management skills for long-term relationship with OEMs, communication skills, technical knowledge for electric and software, and ownership mindset to coordinate cross-function teams are required.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ROLES
- Responsible for general electrical technology (Motor, Invertor, software, etc.) for Garrett products in the Japanese engineering team
- Lead electrical technical discussions with customers. Ensure customer needs on their short, medium and long-term are clearly understood by Japan engineering team, E-COE team and by all internal technical contributors.
- Ensure Garrett Technology's electrical technology-centric roadmap is clearly communicated and aligned with customer needs. Responsible for Application team strategic alignment with the customer.
- Operationally responsible for electrical engineering activities of Japan Engineers which are part of the team.
- Approval of documents related to specific projects, e.g. electric technology offers, customer validation plans, internal validation plans.
- Create annual resource forecasts and budgets, constantly monitor workloads, and flexibly deploy / coordinate with E-COE team to efficiently support projects.
- Stimulate electrical engineering capabilities within the team and provide teamwork spirit for continuous development
- Leading the deployment of Design for Six Sigma into daily and ongoing use
- Ensure that all internal processes are being properly executed across team members and across the projects the team drives.
- Contribute internally to the improvement and optimization of the organization and tools by providing feedback or contributing into a group.
- Careful identification of customer contractual requirements to ensure the organization is clear on what they are, and when due. Reviews of the status of customer commitments.

Education and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Eng., Combustions Engines or Transportation systems and / or equivalentExperience required :
Electrical Engineer with good knowledge about Motor, Inverter, soft wear and vehicle development.Experience in driving design optimisation process and validation principal for automotive industry.3 to 5 years’ experience with automotive industry and electric component development – preferably Motor, Invertor, turbochargerCustomer management skills for OEMs as Tier1Qualification requirements & certificates
Drivers licenceProfessional Skills and Knowledge :
Good knowledge of electric technologies and product range applicable. Good understanding of the electric turbocharger, E-Axle, FC.Business level English speaking and writing are a must.characteristic / Required skills and personal characteristics
