Job Summary :
Experienced and strategic Sales Director to lead our Engineering Services sales efforts in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of engineering services (such as R&D outsourcing, product development, digital engineering, or system integration) and a proven track record of building and managing customer relationships with Japanese industrial clients. This role requires strong leadership, consultative selling abilities, and cultural fluency in the Japanese business environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute the Japan sales strategy for engineering services in alignment with regional and global business goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders at target companies in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, or energy.
- Target-driven work experience
- Lead the full sales cycle : prospecting, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with engineering delivery teams to ensure alignment between client requirements and service capabilities.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasts, Margin and performance reports.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
- Conduct regular interviews with onsite team workers and engineers stationed at customer sites and grow the business
- Create customer profiles and update them with the latest information.
Essential Requirements :
10 years+ B2B sales experienceEnglish (currently at a conversational level, but willing to improve in the future)Japanese (Native level)Desired experience / expertise :
Sales experiences at Car OEMs / Tier1 suppliers, Aerospace / Military Industry, Plant / Mining Industry, Semiconductor Industry are plusSales experience at an Engineering service company is also plusRequirements
