Senior Specialist / Assistant Manager, Parkwide Technical Infrastructure (PTI / RI)

Job Summary

Responsible for the design elements within Creative Projects. This is everything from conduit, manholes, fiber, copper, installation of equipment, IT room design, HVAC, electrical, facility inputs, Creative Theming and Show review, and working with other busine ss units within Universal for their technical need (i.e. fire, BMS, RSN, A / V, Security, and others). They are also meeting with vendors on new product and / or existing material needs and meeting with PM’s and other UPT groups to review status and / or needs for the projects. This position will report to Manager, IOps and Parkwide Technical Infrastructure (PTI) USJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing the standards of a critical environments infrastructure and management of new infrastructure build out projects. Ensuring the campus distribution facilities are at the highest standards and that uptime reliability of the core systems are met.
  • Continually assess resources need, required skillsets and department structure to insure team alignment with UDX and requirements. Consult with manager, IOps and PTI in USJ and Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Operations in Universal Orlando on opportunities and challenges.
  • Be the first level of support by providing technical expertise to contractors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

LANGUAGE : Advanced Business_Japanese and English proficiency

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience

  • Strong analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience planning and installing data centers and other critical environment racks, cable management, copper, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry standards in telecom and structured cabling, knowledge of MEP standards and operations.
  • Experience installing equipment within electrical codes, grounding regulations, and calculating consumption calculations, s ite construction and vendor management, cable management and fiber distribution standards.
  • Experience with code enforcement or compliance, understanding general building terms and processes.
  • Professional Business communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
  • Understanding of Autodesk Navisworks, RevIT, AutoCAD is a plus.
