What you’ll do

  • Manage and engineer the company’s global Relational Database solutions
  • Ensure and enhance the integrity of our mission-critical data offering
  • Innovate and take responsibility for the database environment
  • Troubleshoot and support the databases as part of a global team of DBAs
  • Work closely with other teams to improve and enhance the estate
  • Immerse yourself in critical database projects
  • Make and implement recommendations to prevent reoccurring issues and automate manual processes
  • Interface and communicate with all levels of the business, up to and including the CTO

    • You should have

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Database Administrator in a production environment (Seniority level : Mid-Level)
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB
  • Exposure to other similar RDBMs’ (Sybase, Postgres, Oracle or DB2) and / or MongoDB
  • Solid experience of database management activities, performance tuning, estate improvement planning and implementation
  • Complex database replication topology support
  • Installation, migration and upgrade experience
  • Backup, Restore, HA and DR skills
  • Database performance tuning
  • Stored Procedures and SQL writing
  • Engines : Innodb, Blackhole, Columnstore
  • UNIX scripting skills. Strong knowledge of at least one of bash, ksh, perl, ruby, python
  • Awareness of production change management processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of supporting Java applications an advantage
  • Use of and migration to a database cloud environment solution
