About Organization

E2E Performance & Capacity Division is responsible for ensuring Rakuten Mobile network End-to-End performance and / or capacity KPI are achieving the targets, providing the best customer experience, filing business requirement and align with Network Functions / Applications owners.

Job duties

As a Voice & Video Quality Expert, your responsibilities will include :

Interfacing with product teams to define the roadmap and lead trials for new features and enhancements for voice and video services.

Utilizing your technical knowledge to extract information from different data sources and ensure the solid performance status of the network.

Collecting information from various data sources, including crowdsourcing tools, and analyzing the data to ensure a solid performance status and user experience.

Taking ownership of network KPIs and identifying opportunities for enhancements, with a focus on improving voice and video quality.

Having end-to-end troubleshooting capabilities to lead joint discussions and investigations.

Initiating initiatives to enhance key performance indicators related to network quality.

Creating daily, weekly, and monthly reports on network performance status.

Creating executive dashboards to present to management.

Collaborating closely with product teams and engineering to drive necessary enhancements and assess new releases / features.

Assessing new features and major activities from a performance point of view and evaluating their impact on KPIs.

Demonstrating quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to address complex issues and make informed decisions and escalations.

Serving as a role model to team members in terms of ownership, proactivity, and taking responsibility.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering or a related field

8+ years of experience in telecommunications

Knowledge of voice and video technologies

Experience in data analysis

Basic knowledge of statistics

Knowledge of databases (SQL, bigQuery)

Strong MS Excel skills for statistical analysis

Solid technical knowledge of 4G and 5G network architectures

Experience with network traces and log analysis

Solid knowledge of tracing and log file analysis using different tools such as ・Wireshark and Radcom

End-to-end experience and background will be given priority

Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and in PPT format, to report to high-level management

Knowledge and skills in HTTP / S, SIP, Diameter, RTP, RTCP, TCP, and UDP

Experience in network quality KPIs (MOS, packet-loss, jitter, etc.) and performance tracking and analysis

Strong experience in using passive probing tools for troubleshooting and insights analysis and reporting

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualification

Programming experience, particularly in Python, but not limited to it

Experience working on multiple products / projects in parallel, demonstrating the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively
