Job Summary

Senior Project Manager

We are supporting one of the largest pharmaceutical companies as they continue to build out their IT capabilities in Osaka, Japan!

Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Head of IT, Business Partners, and other business stakeholders to understand project demands, project roadmaps, and any anticipated scope of work. Collaborate to help execute on any roadmaps / timeline while also helping to take on ad-hoc work.
  • Work closely with the IT department to best align and position existing IT resources to projects. Help consult on what skillsets / resources are needed for new projects. Work closely with the business stakeholders to define and procure additional resources, if necessary.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to effectively deliver the application.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, communications, risks, and issues
  • Track project timelines and deliverables. Work with our Delivery Team to collect and track data and create monthly status reports.
  • Create any necessary documentations and handle email inquiries, schedules, and other administrative duties needed.
  • Independently take on new work and proactively think of how to support the team.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed for the role

Required Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience (or equivalent) in project management
  • Past experience working in the pharmaceutical industry OR working on projects related to the pharmaceutical industry. Should have extensive knowledge of the different technologies, tools, and processes being used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven capability of managing, handling, and working closely with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, and across different seniority in the company.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, having had worked with other departments and cross-functional teams. Must have business level proficiency in Japanese and English.
  • Able to self manage and proactively take on tasks needed to be an effective project management support.
  • High efficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive and strong sense of ownership to see tasks through completion.
  • Logical, analytical, and practical thinking to deliver and add value to the business
  • Experience working with as a part of or with global teams

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience using MuleSoft or Salesforce tools / platforms
  • Experience with Snowflake or other DWH tools and systems
  • Previous experience using Veeva or knowledge with the Veeva or other CRM tools used in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with omnichannel systems, specifically with the pharmaceutical industry
