Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Developing and implementing strategy for growing IRF sales in Japan, considering Saginomiya being Danfoss DCS representative in the market
  • Building sustainable, long-term relationship and significant Share of Wallet growth at IRF customers in Japan
  • Proactively engage with IRF customers frequently to support mainly through Saginomiya
  • Provide attractive value creation for IRF direct customers and through pull creation at End Users for retrofit (decarbonization) projects.
  • Facilitating and conducting product and sales training at Saginomiya and product training at end customers
  • Ensure strong collaboration, motivation, alignment, coordination with Saginomiya and strong execution.
  • Effective management of key stakeholders on operational and executive level (Product Line, APR Regional Sales, Saginomiya).

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational ability and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and traveling extensively within Japan (approximately 40-60%) and periodically outside Japan for meetings and training.
  • Pro-active, result and solution-oriented self-starter, tech savvy, hands-on attitude with flexible problem-solving skills and ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Customer focused
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical and / or Electronics) or other hard science discipline, or equivalent experience / aptitude.
  • Fluent Japanese and good English both spoken and written essential
  • Working experience – B2B technical sales, system design, or equipment installation – in relevant industry in the HVAC or Refrigeration sector (2-5 years preferred)
  • Extensive experience in B2B sales, preferably in an industrial or project-driven environment. Successful experience in sales to wholesalers is a plus
  • Must be able to speak Japanese fluently and have a English TOEIC score of 600 points
