A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Service Supervisor like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

As a Service Supervisor in mtu Japan (Rolls-Royce Power Systems), you will be responsible for managing the Technical Service department within the Aftersales Department and overseeing all Technical Service activities, including field services, warranty (TOGA), paid service activities, Service Sales, Customer Support, Technical Training, and Warranty Claim Procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Technical Service team under the Aftersales Department, ensuring all activities are efficient, effective, and compliant with company policies, procedures (Product Support Policy Manual), instructions, guidelines, and the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
  • Handle and manage all warranty claim activities and warranty claim procedures (TOGA) accurately and on time, in accordance with the Product Support Policy Manual.
  • Promote and sell MTU service products and other service offerings, ensuring service sales revenue and profit targets are achieved. Provide technical service-related information to support engine sales projects.
  • Supervise, support, and monitor aftersales activities of Service Partners under the company’s RRPS distributorship to meet aftersales targets and other business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage cost and profit calculations for all service activities, ensuring project implementation is completed without unfavorable deviation. Support project costing and profitability reviews by the Finance Department.
  • Support RRPS and its subsidiaries on global, regional, or in-country projects related to technical service.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of experience in related fields, including a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory position with aftersales responsibility for industrial products.
  • Experience in sales network management is an advantage.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English.
  • Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30%).
