Background to recruitment :
At Chugai Pharmaceutical, we aim to continuously develop and deliver innovative drugs. To this end, we have actively strengthened our technologies in the three major drug discovery modalities : antibodies, small molecules, and mid-size molecules. Description of work :
Candidates are expected to develop proprietary technologies utilizing non-viral vectors such as LNPs that enable selective and efficient gene delivery to specific cells within the body. This will help establish Chugai's competitiveness in the gene delivery drug discovery field. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to explore novel gene therapies by leveraging these developed technologies, proposing and driving projects targeting areas and diseases that have been difficult to approach through conventional methods. Research on the development and analysis of novel non-viral vectors such as LNPs
Drug discovery research applying novel non-viral vectors like LNPs
Cutting-edge research in the field of gene delivery technologies
Additionally, candidates should have experiences for 3 ~ 10 years or more in :
Taking the lead in proposing and driving research projects
Presenting their research findings through publications and at conferences
Experience in new technology development and patent application in this research field will be considered plus.

Desired Qualifications :
A master's degree or higher in a life science research field such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, engineering, or biology. A doctoral degree is preferable.
For those with a master's degree, at least 5 years of practical experience is required. For those with a doctoral degree, at least 3 years of practical experience is required. Experience can be from academia or industry.
For those from academia, it is desirable to have at least 3 publications as the first author.
Proficient English skills required (TOEIC score : 730 or above)
