Our Team

Shizuoka Plant owns an integrated connector process and mass-productions of many market products using the latest technology within the C&CS Division. Value-added products are being introduced, and in the future, C&CS-standard products will be deployed at overseas plants. The project management group is organized within the manufacturing engineering department of the plant and handles the introduction and mass production of new products, project management of existing product prototypes, product cost and asset management, setup and management of information and documentation necessary for manufacturing, and product transfer to domestic and overseas sites.

Due to the nature of our work, we often work directly or indirectly with all departments involved in manufacturing, enabling us to enhance our expertise and experience in the manufacturing industry.

The divisions involved include the Product Strategy Division, PJM Division, Facilities Design Division, Purchasing Division, Quality Assurance and Control Division, and each process manufacturing division, and they work across the divisions. Recently, some part of manufacturing has been transferred to the CCS Division's overseas bases in Korea, Shanghai, Malaysia, and Vietnam, and global activities such as information sharing among the same PJM members are also conducted.

The Technical Center in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture, functions as the headquarters of the CCS Division's manufacturing technology divisions in Shizuoka, Kagoshima, Shanghai, Korea, and other countries, where product design, purchasing, and product / manufacturing strategy divisions are concentrated.

What You Will Do

Project Management for Electrical Connector Development

Project Planning and Scheduling :

  • Responsible for planning and scheduling of product and manufacturing processes development project. With timely monitoring the task progress and following up corresponding stakeholders from equipment manufacturing to sample delivery and mass production ramping-up phases, this role ensures corresponding deliverables to be delivered on-time with quality by understanding the project goals and requirements.

Resource Management :

  • Manages and allocates the project's resources (people, materials, systems, and budget) by working together with corresponding function leaders.
  • Creates tooling strategy which supports long-term success and continuous improvement in tool delivery performance.
  • Helps product management group get proper budget for the project.
  • Project team coordination :

  • Leads communication with stakeholders to clarify or adjust task priority, deliverables and the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder to achieve the project goals.
  • Project progress support and risk management :

  • Leads the progress of the project in cooperation with stakeholders in the project.
  • Identifies and manages project risks and escalates issues to executives as quickly as possible to find solutions.
  • Discusses project priorities, coordination of delivery dates, prototype and mass production locations with the Product Management & Strategy, Sales, and Plants. Through strategic communication with other departments, this role contributes to the development of short-, mid-, and long-term growth strategies, including technology roadmaps and human resource development for the Manufacturing Engineering Division.

  • Leadership skills : Team building and leadership skill to align team for the goal.
  • Scheduling & Planning skills : Setting timeline according to project tasks, monitoring the progress and rearranging the priorities with stakeholders.
  • Risk management : Risk assessment, timely escalation, with leading team discussion to create solutions.
  • Project management tool : MS Project, JIRA, etc. Project management tool experience
  • Japanese : Native or bi-lingual level
  • English : Business level (TOEIC>
  • 700)
