System Test Manager

At GKN Automotive, we’re looking for a System Test Manager to lead our testing strategy and execution across eDrive and AWD systems. This is a pivotal role working at the intersection of innovation, collaboration, and excellence—with global reach and local impact.

What You'll Do

As System Test Manager, you’ll spearhead the planning and execution of system integration and testing activities . Your leadership will ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of performance and safety across global projects.

Develop and lead test strategies and detailed test plans

Manage cross-functional teams through test phases

Drive quality through test reporting, traceability, and process adherence

Collaborate internationally across engineering teams and customer sites

Align with AUTOMOTIVE SPICE , ISO 26262 and industry standards

What You Bring

Skills & Experience

Proven background in system / cross-domain engineering (requirements, architecture, software test)

Hands-on experience in mechatronic systems testing

Strong knowledge of automotive standards , powertrain systems, and software / hardware integration

Project and task management across multi-disciplinary teams

Comfortable in a global, fast-paced environment

Fluent in Japanese and English —written and spoken

Education & Certifications

Degree in Engineering / Mechatronic Systems or equivalent

ISTQB Foundation Level Certification

Trained in Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO 21434), Automotive SPICE
