Senior Accountant (Startup, Hybrid, 8-10m, Native Japanese a MUST)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant for a key role with a leading player in renewable energy. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing startup, managing the financial aspects of renewable energy projects across Japan.

Responsibilities :

Handle journal entries, monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and prepare financial statements following Japanese GAAP.
Manage tax matters and coordinate with tax firms for the company and its special purpose companies (SPCs).
Work with major audit firms and internal teams to ensure smooth annual and quarterly audits.
Assist the CFO with financial planning and management to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications :

Minimum of three years of accounting experience with a strong grasp of Japanese accounting standards.

Preferably a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

Accounting or tax certification is a plus.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.

Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
