The Lead Product Portfolio Manager drives the operational launch readiness of upcoming exciting portfolio launches in Japan.

This role will be part of a team of International Product Portfolio Team, report to the International Portfolio Franchise Lead and is based out of our Japan HQ in Tokyo.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following :

The Lead Product Portfolio Manager works closely with the Japan and International Headquarters to support the launch preparations of our product portfolio in Japan.

The role will include strong internal cross functional collaboration between operations, logistics, regulatory, access, medical affairs, commercial and general management.

This position requires confident and professional appearance with external stakeholders, potential partners and collaborators, thought leaders and government officials to gather information and prepare decision making.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Work closely with the International & Japan Portfolio Team and act as the operational expert for our launch portfolio in Japan.
  • Deliver operational plans and oversee the implementation and execution of these plans in alignment with the cross functional launch teams.
  • Strong team player capable to deliver high level and detailed information to the respective stakeholders in Japan and the International team
  • Support national advisory boards as needed.
  • Provide input on the development of Japan-specific medical and commercial materials to support and ensure launch readiness.
  • Establish strong collaboration with the Japan organization for seamless handover for launch execution.
  • Assure compliance with relevant corporate and regulatory guidelines.
  • The ability to travel as the business dictates.

Minimal qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration or other.
  • 5 to 8 years of industry experience (working in).
  • Experience in product launches in pharma / biotech / med tech in Japan
  • Excellent English & Japanese is mandatory.

    Employment Term : This role includes a 3-month probationary period during which employment conditions remain unchanged. Employment is on an indefinite-term contract, and a one-month notice period is required for voluntary resignation, in accordance with company policy. Employees may be required to work overtime based on business needs, including occasional holiday and weekend work, with compensation provided per company policy and local labor regulation.

    Salary Range :

    11 100 000 ¥ - 18 800 000 ¥

    The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. Additionally, this role includes either 30 hours of overtime per month or 10 hours of midnight work per month, depending on the position. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
