The opportunity
Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact.
We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.
How you’ll make an impact
You will report to and give assistance (within his area of responsibility) to the Site Manager regarding planning and coordination of overall activities. Leads the technical discussions related to commissioning with the customer and the customers consultants.
You will ensure that all Commissioning Engineers on site are well informed about the Scope of Work (SoW) and Division of Work (DoW).
You will make sure that all changes are identified and communicated to Site Manager / Project Manager.
You will ensure that all tests are performed, accepted and approved by the customer in accordance with the contract conditions.
You will ensure that all Hitachi Energy commitments, related to the plant functions to customer, are met and in accordance with the contract conditions.
You will ensure that all plant documentation and software are kept in order and that the latest revisions are used for the commissioning work on site.
You will ensure that the plant documentation as “Site Master” and "Commissioning copy" and software are updated during the test and commissioning period.
You will ensure that the original "Site Master", test protocols and software, of test results are sent back to the home office when the plant has been handed over to the customer. (Normally one copy is left on site to be used until the customer receives the final documentation).
You will monitor and masters calculated time and cost, for the commissioning work, estimates the final cost and, when ready, ensures the collection of feedback and made experiences.
You will perform the work with great accuracy and with all quality assurance activities in accordance to the project Site Quality Assurance Plan.
You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum three years’ experience on site as Commissioning Engineer.
Experience with plants of different sizes, complexity and technologies.
Training and experience of all testing, from single units to the entire process / plant, and first startup / energization.

Well verbal and email communication in English.
