Your Responsibilities
As part of the company’s overall growth strategy, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the profitable growth of the assigned ADM Human Nutrition product portfolio in Japan. This individual will also be charged with developing strong relationships with specified strategic customers and representing ADM’s full product portfolio to these clients.
This role will require a highly motivated individual with a sound track record in sales and a strong background working in a leading Specialty ingredients companies. This candidate must possess well developed strengths in sales and key account management
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with existing and new customers. Contribute to the development of the strategic planning process for future growth.
- Meet and exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth of the full ADM Human Nutrition product portfolio with assigned key strategic accounts.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and plans within the assigned market.
- Link between the customers and the production units of ADM Group by providing both technical and commercial support to the customers.
- Collaborate with marketing resources and the leadership team to define overall sales strategies, products and sales solutions which best meet customer needs.
- Prepare account plan for strategic key accounts under management.
- Manage the project pipeline and regular update / provide information for SG technical team.
- Prepare regular forecasts and budgets based on the ADM time-limits, principles and formats and follow those accordingly.
- Help and support resolution of technical and commercial complaints together with the technical and production teams of ADM units.
- Professionally represent ADM at meetings, exhibitions, seminars and other events.
- Prepare regular sales and market reports.
- Support collection of receivables and overdue payments as required. Follow the rules of credit control as dictated in ADM Group’s procedures.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product development team to support innovation and product improvement.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in food technology and chemical related preferredAt least ten to twelve years sales experience within food industry, with strong understanding of food ingredients and their applications.Experience managing and expanding existing customer relationships and demonstrated success in development new business.Results oriented with strong business acumen with value-selling mind-set.Working experience in a large multinational company preferred.Experience in handling value added specialty ingredients is a must.Willingness to travel as needed to meet with key accounts.Good interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player with strong organizational capabilitiesStrategic thinker with a customer-centric approachProven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accountsHigh level of analytical thinking with strong self-initiativeStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressureSelf-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a teamGood command of spoken and written EnglishIncludingYou
