Position Description

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Japan, the core responsibilities of the role include partnering with business stakeholders to develop marketing strategy and develop and execute channel marketing activity to support business objectives for the Global Wealth Management, Pension and FIG channels in Japan.

This position will require collaboration within the global marketing team as well as multiple internal stakeholders, including senior management-level investment professionals, as well as managing external vendors, where necessary.

The responsibilities are included but not limited to :

  • Partner with Head of Marketing Japan and client-facing teams to develop and execute high impact marketing strategies that contribute toward the achievement of asset acquisition and retention goals
  • Leverage all available marketing platforms including events, collateral, digital, campaigns etc to achieve measurable business objectives
  • Build strong relationships with AMs to facilitate communication, proactively identify opportunities and challenges, and support execution of marketing efforts
  • Manage the production of marketing assets (sales tools, digital communications, etc.) with internal stakeholders and external vendors, where necessary, including writing / translating, editing and design.
  • Coordinate with compliance to ensure all materials produced are fully compliant with regulations
  • Work effectively independently and as a team player within local team and wider organization with an equally entrepreneurial spirit
  • Support Head of Marketing Japan to engage internal stakeholders to enforce the protocols on brand and messaging governance to ensure the deliverables are on brand and messaging is aligned

REQUIREMENTS : Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or business related disciplines
  • Professional qualification in finance is a plus
  • Experience :

  • Deep understanding of financial markets with 7+ years’ industry experience in wholesale marketing / institutional marketing in the asset management industry in Japan
  • Demonstrated record of success in supporting CF teams in acquiring and retaining clients and assets through execution of integrated marketing programs
  • Ability to learn, understand, and adapt evolving digital marketing technologies and tactics
  • Ability to negotiate and work effectively as a manager across business channels and external vendors
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English (fluent) and Japanese (native)
  • Proven ability to interpret, translate, and communicate financial concepts both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in managing translations, advertising agency and production house
