One of our companies is currently looking for a Principal Engineer in Asia .

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the core of a high-impact, globally distributed engineering team focused on enhancing and evolving PostgreSQL-based technologies. As a Principal Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining both open-source and enterprise-grade variants of PostgreSQL. You'll contribute to community-driven initiatives, collaborate across teams, support critical production issues, and play a key role in automation and testing. The position is fully remote, and offers a unique balance of deep technical work, mentorship, and open-source contribution.

Accountabilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain enhancements to PostgreSQL and proprietary variants
• Engage actively with the open-source community by contributing features, reviewing code, and responding to inquiries
• Collaborate with global development teams to plan releases and meet delivery timelines
• Support the QA team with regression testing, and drive improvements in CI / CD pipelines
• Partner with the support team to address customer issues and prepare for product rollouts
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every 6-7 weeks
