The Operational Excellence Senior Specialist is responsible for driving initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, and reduce waste within manufacturing operations. This role involves leading digital transformation efforts, implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Implement advanced technologies to enhance productivity and data accuracy.
- Establish controls and systems to monitor key performance metrics for data-driven decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and ensure alignment with company goals.
2. Digital Transformation
Drive digital transformation efforts within manufacturing operations.Implement and manage technologies that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.3. Process Optimization
Analyze production processes to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency.4. Quality and Compliance
Work closely with Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs (QMRA) teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes.5. Team Development
Mentor and develop staff, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional development.Training and Professional Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in operational excellence or process improvement roles.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality systems, and digital transformation.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Professional Competence and Special Knowledge
Education :Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Languages :Proficiency in Japanese and English; German language skills are a plus.
Technical Skills :Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards.Competencies
