Job description

Responsibilities

  • Draft motions, trial briefs, and examination outlines for domestic and international litigation cases
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
  • Coordinate expert witnesses and manage external counsel relationships
  • Contribute to all phases of litigation, including strategy planning and appeals
  • Provide legal guidance on issues related tomercial, regulatory, and international law

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience :

  • 3-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a qualified Japanese Bengoshi
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal risk inplex dispute resolution

    • Technical Skills :

  • Drafting litigation documents and handling procedural requirements
  • Familiarity with both Japanese civil litigation and international legal frameworks

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong bilingualmunication skills (Japanese and English)
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and think strategically

    • Language Requirements

  • Japanese : Native
  • English : Fluent

    • Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Legal qualification in the US or England & Wales
  • Experience at an international law firm or in cross-border litigation
  • Proven ability to take ownership and demonstrate accountability in case work
