Job Description

We're looking for a  Compliance Lead (Japan Investment)  to accelerate our expansion plans in Japan. This pioneering role will be crucial in growing Wise in the region.

Your mission :

• Manage the end-to-end process for Type 1 Financial Instruments license registration, including preparing necessary documents, internal policies, and setting up sufficient internal structure / governance.
• Work with the global Assets product team to launch products, implement changes, and develop new features that comply with local regulations.
• Collaborate with the banking team to understand existing and new regulations, ensuring our product and setup are compliant.
• Build trust with regulators by managing reporting, responding to information requests, and proactively communicating product changes and notifiable events.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and provide input to government policy departments on the impact of proposed changes in regulation.
