As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities for platform, products and services that leverage data, and lead the vision and strategy, development, and operations. We expect you to work with multiple stakeholders to lead product development toward our goals. Position Details

We are responsible for the following areas in Rakuten Ichiba, the driving force behind Rakuten Group.

Development and operation of data warehouse

Planning, development, and operation of data products

Data integration API platform

Data extraction tools for business staff

Real-time data platform planning, development, and operation

Working together with user departments, you will gain a deep understanding of business operation processes, analyze and identify issues and needs, incorporate them into specifications, and lead the project from development to operation.

Position Responsibilities

Formulate vision and strategy for products and services utilizing data
Communicate with stakeholders (user departments, data science team, engineering team)
Analyze and identify issues and needs
Develop a roadmap for the project with deep understanding business strategy and data strategy.
Coordination and consensus building with multiple stakeholders
Appropriate reporting to decision makers

Mandatory Qualifications :

Over 5 years of experience in product management, including managing products such as SaaS and platforms.

Over 5 years of hands-on experience defining functional requirements for data platform features. - Deep understanding and hands-on experience with data platforms, including data warehouses (DWH), data APIs, and data pipelines. - Over 5 years of experience constructing and operating data platforms in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

Stakeholder management : Demonstrated leadership and communication skills in engaging diverse stakeholders to drive projects to success.

Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese.

Desired Qualifications :

Experience in coaching and developing product managers.

Hands-on experience in KPI setting and monitoring.

Knowledge of data governance and data security, especially in data platforms.

Operational experience with platforms handling large-scale datasets (in the TB / PB range). - Knowledge of data modeling and ETL / ELT design. -

Understanding of data management practices, including data catalogs and data lineage.

Foundational hands-on experience in data analysis and processing using SQL, Python, etc.

Hands-on experience in project management.
