Location : Remote, Korea or Tokyo / Remote, Japan

Summary

This job is responsible for managing Precision Manufacturing sales for Novanta in Korea. Key responsibility is to keep the major customers, identify new customers and close business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and manage sales to OEM customers in designated region to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop new OEM customers and markets.
  • Develop and manage sales funnel using CRM and market data
  • Provide accurate Monthly rolling 12-month sales and bookings forecasts for region by Customer and Product, including new opportunity tracking.
  • Arranges Pre- and Post-Sales technical and integration / application support to customer.
  • Applies technical and sales knowledge and policies in direct support to customers
  • Sets short and long-term sales strategies to expand OEM customer base, market share and business.
  • Regularly visit key customers and new prospects face to face to drive strong relationship, and develop deep understanding of customer needs and create win opportunities
  • Lead escalation management where needed
  • Actively engage in Trade Show or other channels to promote products to customers and prospects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience
  • Native-level proficiency in Korean, fluency in English
  • Intermediate proficiency in Japanese (N3 level) would be a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, especially Salesforce
  • Experience in OEM component / sub-systems sales
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, electronics, lasers, and optics
  • Ability to manage channel partners (distributors, system integrators)
  • Familiarity with customer sales concepts and practices
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan and achieve goals
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work with customers
  • High moral and business code of conduct
  • Respectful toward others
  • Effective multi-tasking in a busy environment
