Description :

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations & Technology Team. This role will be based in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to :

  • Partner with the Head of Operations & Technology Japan to build a world-class centralized operations division, analyzing and advising on the future operating model.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence, overseeing a team of 80+ employees and contractors.
  • Create and operationalize Japan’s business strategy, driving a best-in-class Operations & Technology organization to enhance service delivery to external clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and operational capabilities to ensure competitive positioning and responsiveness to market changes.
  • Establish and communicate service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, ensuring accountability and operational excellence.

What you need to have :

  • Minimum 10 years of Operations & Technology experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proven track record in leading organizational transformation projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong managerial and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and process optimization techniques.

  • Experience working with third-party service providers, including contracting and ongoing support.
  • Deep understanding of operational excellence and the ability to coach senior staff in strategy implementation and change management.

  • A proactive approach to leadership succession and talent development within the team.
