Your New Role...
This role is responsible to support daily, monthly and yearly accounting operations of Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo (The Making of Harry Potter). This role is also responsible to support the delivery across WBD – Studio / Network of all statutory, audit, outsourced accounting and compliance matters for Warner Bros. Japan LLC, Warner Bros. Studio Japan LLC, Turner Japan KK and WB APAC.
Your Role Accountabilities...
General Accounting
- Period Close Deliverables and Reporting including daily revenue reconciliations for ticketing, retails and others for Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo.
- Close calendar / Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet review and provision of variance analysis for month end results
- Support in timely completion of month end deliverables relating to divisional responsibilities
- Coordination of treasury related functions for the above entities
- Liaise with US-based treasury team and provision of information in response to requests
- Regular review and management of cash balances and accounts / facilities. This includes responsible for IC reconciliations and funds settlement
- Provide support to maintain effective internal control environment ensuring controls are compliant with various territory requirements and WBD SOX policy
- Support Sr. Manager and oversee accuracy of balance sheet reporting activity including review of balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly balance sheet footnote disclosures; conduct periodic balance sheet review updates with Finance partners
- Support Sr. Manager and perform ad hoc analysis for APAC Studio / Network leadership and APAC CFO / Finance teams as well as working with different departments and handle queries within the organization
- Handling System report issues in co-ordination with technical team and highlight system issue to management
- Accurately handling reporting requests / questions received from various stakeholders
- Coordinate with other team members to reconcile identified variance, adjustments to be made
- Assist in various global / department initiatives, such as system migration and Account Reconciliation Harmonization
- Work closely with P2P / OTC and provide support as needed
Statutory Reporting
Support Statutory reportingPreparation and drafting of statutory accounts for all local reporting entitiesSupport the strategy on an annual basis to deliver all statutory requirements by various timelines, utilizing a combination of internal and outsourced accounting resources.Proactively manage internal audits and external filing process through on-going engagement and provide updates and escalation to Sr. ManagerSupport the annual statutory Financial Statement audits for various WBD legal entitiesSupport the coordination between auditors, Controllership and local outsourced accounting firms to maintain a calendar of deliverables and deadlines for WBD subsidiaries’ local statutory reporting requirements.Review local intercompany invoices and service fee allocations for Global teamsEnsure all reporting is accurate and timely, and in line with company policies, best practices, and US / local GAAP.Areas of Accountability ]
