Job Description : Android Front-End Developer (Remote)

Position : Android Front-End Developer

Location : Tokyo

Experience : 3+ years

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Android Front-End Developer to join our remote team. You will be responsible for building user-friendly, efficient, and innovative Android applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (UI / UX, backend developers) to define and implement innovative solutions for mobile apps.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate designs into high-quality code.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Android development.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin and Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, UI / UX best practices, and Material Design principles.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries.
  • Familiarity with MVVM architecture and Jetpack Compose.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with cloud messaging and push notifications.
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and mobile deployment processes.

    • Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • You have at least 3 years experience, ideally within a Software Engineer role.
  • You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
  • You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
