Key Responsibilities
The Asset Management Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and cost control of all critical assets within the organization. This role ensures that subcontracted maintenance services are aligned with company objectives, asset reliability targets, and continuous improvement principles under a Lean framework. The role will lead cross-functional coordination between Operations, Procurement, Finance, HSE and Contractors, ensuring value delivery across the asset lifecycle
Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E)
Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to asset integrity and maintenance activities.
Monitor and review HS&E KPIs and behavioral patterns; take action to improve performance and resolve non-compliance.
Lead by example, ensuring full compliance with HS&E policies and promoting a safe working environment.
Lead incident investigations involving assets, ensuring root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to foster an incident-free workplace.
Implement best practices and manage changes through a controlled Management of Change (MoC) process.
Promote responsible and efficient use of natural resources to protect the environment.
Performance & Operational Excellence
Ensure all business activities comply with external regulations and internal policies, minimizing business risk and safeguarding the company’s reputation.
Provide leadership and strategic guidance to Subcontractors and technical teams.
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to customers reducing unplanned downtime and preventing critical failures..
Embed Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management) across all asset-related workflows. Continuous improvement culture.
Define, monitor, and report on global and local KPIs related to asset performance, cost, subcontractor activities, and workplace hazards; implement corrective actions when targets are missed.
Collaborate closely with support functions to optimize the deployment of machinery, processes, and workforce, maintaining operational stability and productivity.
Encourage the adoption of new technologies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Strategic Development
Develop and implement an Asset Management Strategy aligned with business objectives, operational risk, and lifecycle cost optimization while ensuring compliance with local legislation.
Define long-term capital renewal plans and support investment decisions using data-driven methodologies.
Ensure all asset strategies and maintenance plans consider operational safety and equipment criticality.
Conduct medium- and long-term planning for asset procurement, refurbishment, and disposal, focusing on maintaining asset integrity and managing total cost of ownership.
Develop and implement standardized Ways of Working and Lean processes in collaboration with global functional teams.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager to support business needs.
We are looking for :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in asset management, maintenance planning, and operational leadership, preferably within an industrial, port, infrastructure or logistics sectors.
Deep understanding of HS&E regulations and demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to guide, manage, and inspire operational teams.
Experience in developing and managing business plans and long-term asset strategies.
Solid knowledge of operational KPIs, reporting, and performance improvement processes.
Familiarity with Lean methodologies, process optimization, and change management practices.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance operational demands and long-term planning goals.
