This position is responsible for day-to-day finance support to the BioPharma Manufacturing organization to ensure best in class planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management activities with a focus on an end-to-end view on the drug development and production process to drive superior business decisions.
The role will act as a subject matter expect with respect to all aspects of project financial control, from providing insights into the financial provided in business cases, through to the financial reconciliation processes, cost object maintenance processes, or etc.
As required, this role will conduct audit type reviews of financials positions being reported by projects, to ensure the information being presented to senior leaders is complete and accurate. 【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】 (雇入れ直後) As part of the T&M Finance Extended LT (Ex-LT), in addition to the role-specific responsibilities, the role carries responsibility to own and solve any Finance-related issues in cooperation with the rest of the global Finance Organization. Be a single point of contact on all finance-related issues for BioPharma Manufacturing.
Support mid- and long-term planning, forecasting and analysis that produce accurate / achievable plans and forecasts, aligned with strategic objectives of the business.
Oversee timely and accurate submission of management accounting statements prepared by GBS
Increase awareness on finance and non-finance topics in partner business unit
Ensure effective communication with BioPharma Manufacturing LT and members as well as T&M key stakeholders in the other FUs. Performance Management
Develop and achieve divisional targets while considering direction from Corporate and discussion with business.
Realize best resource allocation from enterprise perspective as well as division’s priorities.
Actively manage risks and opportunities in order to steer the financial performance of the responsible financials such as P&L and cashflows to achieve desired targets / outcomes.
Deliver timely financial analysis and business counsel to effectively measure business performance against strategic priorities. Identify key risks and opportunities for improvement of financial performance
Drive performance improvement agenda for the partner functions through capturing savings both in the function budget and escalating to corporate budget where applicable Decision Making Support
Provide meaningful and actionable insights / commentaries / advice / recommendations on investments at different stages of development and investment reallocation.
Provide counsel, challenge, and influence decisions to drive best ROI / value as well as help to find creative solutions to support BioPharma Manufacturing team on specific decisions with impact on financial results.
Develop business case proposal and conduct financial evaluation reflecting corporate financial assumptions guidance and defined business assumptions with stakeholders.
Support CAPEX / OPEX review in accordance with the guidelines. Compliance

BS / BA in Finance / Accounting / Economics
Profound work experience in planning and budgeting in Pharma industry
Master’s Degree in Accounting, MBA and / or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / CIMA or other professional certifications are preferred.
Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP preferred.
Experience working within a research, pharmaceutical technology or development are, but not mandatory.
