An opportunity with USJ's Digital and Technology team is an experience like no other. From developing state-of-the-art theme park locations in Orlando, Hollywood, Beijing and Japan, to new destinations, like our Halloween Horror nights themed destination in Vegas and a kids park in Frisco… our teams are at the heart of the new and innovative digital technologies that power our guest and team member experiences.

In this team, you will be responsible for working with our business partners and product teams to understand the requirements that drive the technology solutions we will deploy and analyze key requirements needed. You will engage in the testing cycles of those solutions to align and drive that the design meets the original set of expectations. You are part of a global team that is consistently looking at ways to enhance the experience for guests, from planning their trip to their in park visit, to their post return while driving the best experience all around.

As part of the Digital and Technology team, you will work in a global and multinational team atmosphere, with team members that come to work with us, from various countries. You will engage with not only team members but with multinational vendors that support our destinations and experiences across the globe.

After joining the company, you will gain a basic understanding of the latest technology for our theme parks and overall in park ride solutions. Not to worry, we will work with you to refine your business system analysis skills. Your role will be responsible for reporting to management both in Japan and within the US. Regardless of your length of service, you will be involved in operations with other parks around the world and will be able to grow significantly.

JOB SUMMARY & MISSION

Our mission is to encourage users in adopting new system services to achieve company goals and vision a competitive theme park business by eliminating their psychological anxiety / resistance.

This role will engage with key business stakeholders such as operations, finance, marketing and conduct communication efforts to inspire new system deployment. This role will focus on developing clear and effective communication materials with alignment to business goals, tracking progress and supporting learning initiatives to roll out new systems with sufficient explanation and training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.) Engage stakeholders through targeted communication strategies :

  • Understand the audience : Segment stakeholders (e.g., leadership, employees, customers) and tailor messages to their specific needs, preferences, and concerns.
  • Utilize appropriate channels : Choose the right communication tools (e.g., email, meetings, digital platforms, newsletters) based on the audience.
  • Create a feedback loop : Ensure there’s a mechanism to gather feedback from stakeholders to refine communication strategies.

2.) Create and disseminate release notes, announcements, and newsletters :

  • Clear and concise content : Write release notes and announcements in a way that is easy to understand, with an emphasis on key changes, benefits, and timelines.
  • Consistent branding and tone : Ensure all communications are aligned with the company’s voice and visual identity.
  • Targeted distribution : Send out newsletters and announcements to the relevant groups, ensuring the right people receive the information in a timely manner.
  • 3.) Coordinate internal and business communications to ensure alignment and clarity :

  • Cross-functional collaboration : Work with different teams (e.g., HR, IT, leadership) to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across the organization.
  • Standardize processes : Develop templates and guidelines to ensure clarity and consistency in communications.
  • Proactive communication : Ensure internal and business communications are clear and consistent, avoiding ambiguity and confusion.
  • 4.) Support learning initiatives by providing communication materials and resources :

  • Content creation : Develop training materials (e.g., slides, videos, FAQs) that are engaging and informative.
  • Facilitate access : Ensure learning resources are easily accessible (e.g., via internal portals or email).
  • Promote learning programs : Use communications to encourage participation and highlight the benefits of learning initiatives to stakeholders.

    REQUIREMENTS

    LANGUAGE :

    Ability to use both Japanese and English in business

    EDUCATION :

    Bachelor's degree in Business communications, Marketing, or a related field.

    EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and internal communications.
  • Strong skills in creating and managing communication content.
  • Ability to track and report on transformation progress and initiatives.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to support learning through effective communication.
