This is a remote position.

  • Assist the Business Development Manager - Japan in supporting business growth and profitability objectives, driving demand for specific business areas in Japan.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the Japanese market by researching industry trends, analyzing potential prospects, and developing strategic sales plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and partners in Japan to develop and secure new business opportunities.
  • Track and document sales activities in CRM, monitor key metrics, and support data-driven sales strategies.
  • Track and report on sales progress, support forecast efforts, and assist in the preparation of quotations, proposals, service contracts, and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with the Japan office's goals.
  • Collaborate with the Japan office's sales and marketing teams to enhance brand recognition, increase market share, and improve customer retention.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the company’s products, services, and market position to effectively communicate value propositions to potential clients in Japan.
  • Coordinate and participate in product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to support business development efforts in Japan.
  • Manage marketing activities, including the development of marketing materials, website management, social media content, and participation in tradeshows and events specific to the Japanese market.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies for new and existing products, identifying potential for product sales growth and new business opportunities in Japan.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on submitted information via phone or email, addressing inquiries, and coordinating with internal teams in Japan for timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the life science industry.
  • Assist in the operational aspects of the Japan office, providing support to ensure smooth day-to-day business functions, collaborating closely with local teams to meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to the creation of data-driven marketing strategies and analysis of key trends in the life science market.
  • CRMを活用した営業活動の記録・分析を行い、データに基づく営業戦略を支援。
  • SaaS ソリューション の価値を的確に伝え、プレゼン・デモを実施。
  • SNS運用、展示会・イベントへの参加を担当。

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Marketing preferred. Experience in Services, Product Marketing, or SaaS / Cloud Software is highly desirable.
  • Native level of Japanese and business level of English.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Business-to-business (B2B) marketing experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Experience with CRM software and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • SaaS / クラウドソフトウェアの経験があれば尚可。
