Business Overview

The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure and ecosystem platforms which power the Rakuten Group. Our mission is to provide our Rakuten Cloud and Ecosystem Platforms which will deliver Core Value to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group services

Department Overview

Our department, BSS SRE & Ops Department (BSOPD), provides operational service for BSS applications (both B2B and B2C), and is also responsible for the maintenance of IT infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud environment) for the BSS platform.

We are looking for entrepreneurial, innovative, growth-oriented, and customer-centric individuals to join our growing team in building the "telco of the future".

Responsibility :

Managing Operations of B2C BSS system and respective integrated inhouse systems to make sure system running stable and minimize the customer service affecting and billing issues and sm. Collaborate with vendor team for system development and operation. High involvement and lead upfront in case of any issue or incidents. Addressing issues / problems raised by end customer or internal departments.

Overall Position Details

  • Able to handle day to day telecom BSS Operations.
  • Ensuring smooth provisioning and customer onboarding journey.
  • Handling various vendors and involving various kinds of discussion with them.
  • Management backlog, operation improvement, production operation.
  • Able to implement good monitoring solutions to detect all the system / application problems on time and fixing them proactively
  • Able to analyze customer issues like billing, payment, order failures, onboarding, display issues, preparing, testing and deploying data fixes.
  • Open to work in flexible timings.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 8+ Years of experience in Telecom BSS.
  • Good Understanding of CRM, Billing, Collections, Order management, Product catalogue, Mediation, Asset Management etc.
  • Hands on work / previous Experience in BSS systems like Netcracker TOMS and RBM, Amdocs, Ericsson, Comviva , Mavenir.
  • Knowledge of Rating, Billing and Collection.
  • CDR Flows and Validation.
  • Good Trouble shooting skills in BSS issues.
  • Understanding of Cloud concepts (VM / PODS / Containers) and Kubernetes.
  • Good understanding in Ansible, Jenkins and able to build pipelines.
  • Strong understanding on how Queues works.
  • Hands on experience in Linux commands to handle daily operations and Shell or anyone scripting language Knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Sound in building DB queries / script for data extraction.
  • Able to setup monitoring platforms grafana, Kibana, icings, prometheus , Newrelic and configure metrics and dashboards.
  • Network knowledge and system knowledge.
  • Experience of trouble shooting in production.
  • Experience of working in multiple projects in parallel.
  • Communication skill.
  • Able to Manage own tasks.
  • Open to support nightly activities and 24 / 7 working hours.
  • In case, to work in holiday, weekend with Compensatory leave.
  • Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience of BSS systems preferably Netcracker TOMS and RBM.
  • Experience in Linux.
  • Experience of using / create SQL.
  • Knowledge of telecom network (4G / 5G) and industry.
  • Experience in Telecom Billing (online / offline), Rating, Collections, payment.
  • Experience in handling CRM applications operations.
  • Experience in Ansible, Jenkins, other devops tools and able to support / handle CI / CD.
