Department Overview

EC Incubation Development Department (Hereinafter ECID), which this position belongs to, is responsible for small to mid-sized EC services like Rakuma of flea market app, Rakuten Pay Online, Rakuten Point Online, Rebates, and Rakuten Healthcare.

Despite being a separate development group for each service, We regularly hold meet-ups, a place for information sharing beyond services. We have a committee meeting where members with a common interest gather and develop skills. We form communities through cross-group interaction.

Our department is for the system development of healthcare business which is newly launched within Rakuten Group. We plan to provide various functions in stages to tackle the challenges of healthcare services that have not undergone digital transformation in Japan. In addition, we will develop services while strengthening business collaboration related to healthcare with the services owned by the Rakuten Group (Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Insurance, regional revitalization, etc.).

Specifically, you will oversee iOS App for users and clients and will be in charge of system design and implementation for new features and maintenance after delivery.

We are finding ambitious engineers who are not limit yourself to engineer role and work with the business department to move the project forward.

Position Details

As a product manager of products (functions) for shoppers and clients in Healthcare tech, you will be responsible for

• clarifying business / system requirements from draft design from business department, and making product specification.
• listing points to improve from various KPIs, and voice of shopper and merchant, and making product specification.
• creating roadmap to improve the product, and managing backlogs.
• propelling the project to take responsibilities above by communicating with all concerned, and making sure that being on the same page.

You will join Healthcare tech as a product manager of products (functions) , but you may have a chance to be a product manager of cross-company project as a part of the career path and also this team structure is like startup style.

This project is very new service and you will be able to make huge impact on society in the future.

In creating a product cooperate with other product managers in Healthcare tech and other group company, and professionals and specialists from various area include business department, you will be able to broaden your knowledge and skills in various professional area.

Besides, product managers and engineers belong to the same department and always have close communication with stakeholders, so you will be able to lead flexible improvement.

You surely will be able to make use of your previous experiences as an engineer as your strength as usual.
