Job Summary

VP / SVP – Development - Logistics

Tokyo

We are working with one of the world’s leading real asset investors, who have a significant Asia Pacific presence. Due to their continued growth in Japan they are looking to add a talented development professional with strong logistics and / or data centre project experience to the team. They currently have deployed over $8.5bn USD into these sectors within the Japan market and have further capital to invest and continue their growth.

The role will focus on new build developments across the logistics and data centres asset classes.

Responsibilities :

  • Project management during the development and construction phases of logistics facilities and data centres.Cost management (budget control, review and negotiation of quotation, validation of value engineering and cost design).Schedule management.Risk management.Quality management.Design management (reviewing drawings, design adjustments).
  • Coordination of contracts and application documents (review of design contracts, construction contracts, and application documents during development and construction phases).
  • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Various adjustments related to tenant occupancy.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Degree in Project Management or equivalent
  • Min. 8 years’ experience in project management
  • Preference for candidates with project management experience in logistics facilities. Data centre experience would be advantageous
  • Experience and knowledge of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office suite of products
  • Experienced and knowledgeable project planning, contract administration
  • Fluent in Japanese. English language skills would be advantageous.
