Job Summary
This new role is critical to ZB APAC’s new operating model. The role orchestrates and implements the JAPAN pricing strategy, pricing governance and pricing execution processes across all business segments. The Pricing leader will work closely with the Segment Leaders in establishing the pricing strategy as well as with the regional and country commercial leaders and with Finance to implement it. The Pricing leader will support in the Japan pricing committee and help prepare, document and track decisions of this committee. The role over time will develop best practices and implement them at region and country levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
25% Support marketing teams in developing JAPAN pricing strategies, floor prices / bands for new launches and key established brands
15% Business Partner with country pricing / tendering / commercial teams to build local analytics, processes, tools and capabilities
15% Develop pricing playbooks and training of country pricing negotiators / teams on effective implementation and negotiation
5% Orchestrate the process of reviewing and adapting list prices periodically across Japan and segments, define proper GOA thresholds based on historical data
10% Drive execution of APAC pricing policy, governance framework and process in Japan; Lead preparation, decision making and implementation tracking of Japan pricing committee
20% Create and maintain a Japan ‘pricing monitor’ report to identify pricing trends, opportunities and challenges and conduct price sensitivity analyses across the ZB portfolio
10% Work closely with Market Access to identify opportunities to improve pricing and reimbursement environment

Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, followed by MBA or CPA preferred
10+ years Marketing, Finance and / or General Management experience in medical devices or healthcare
Knowledge of commercial models or pricing models in medical devices in Japan / Asia Pacific
Knowledge of buying and tendering processes in medical devices in Japan or Asia Pacific
