Project Manager
- Our Team
- The team is responsible for bringing up new product development of micro miniaturized connectors for fast-paced consumer and commercial markets. This role requires instrumental skillset that can collaborate with other function leaders in multiple entities and locations. The successful candidate will also need to be a self-starter, proven program leader, diligent project leader, communicator, and problem solver with strong analytical skills. You will work with cross-functional teams on complex engineering and operational problems, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer.
- What You Will Do
- Lead projects and handle comprehensive product development management (product development schedule, production readiness, project budget, quality requirement) and bring the efforts to the product launch.
- Monitor projects to articulate problems, continuously improve them, mitigate risks ahead, and report to relevant executives on a regular basis.
- Work collaboratively with Product Management team and participate in drawing up business plans.
- Provide project members with necessary internal training or coaching for introducing project management methods, tools, and KPIs.
- Provide other project managers with support and advice for projects not directly leading, to ensure the projects proceed smoothly without delay.
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Agile project management experience.
- Operational track record of product development project management excellence especially including management of cross-entity, project management teams.
- Expert at project management approaches, processes, and tools, including such as Lean Product Development.
- Sound business judgment and problem-solving skillset associated with strong analytical / critical / logical thinking skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to organize and influence others without authority, and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in cross functional work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with senior leadership and function leaders, as well as executive presentation skills with ability to buy executive support in a timely manner.
- Japanese and English business level ability
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience in Electric Product or Electric Component Product Project manager.Experience in Mobile Industry or Automotive IndustryEducation in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or alike.Deep knowledge of Kaizen, Six Sigma, LeanPMP certificationBasic understanding of and willingness to embrace PBM® (Principle-Based Management).Additionally, everyone has individual work and personal needs.
