The Job

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join our Retail Market team based in Tokyo. This role focuses on selling premium imported food and wine products to retail clients, including regional supermarkets and convenience stores.

You’ll leverage your existing network and build new relationships with key buyers in the Tokyo area to grow our client base and drive sales. This is a hands-on, field-focused role that demands initiative, strong communication, and a passion for high-quality food and beverage products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and grow accounts across Tokyo's retail landscape
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with key buyers
  • Identify new business opportunities and open new accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, leadership)
  • Provide regular sales reports and market insights
  • Maintain deep knowledge of product offerings to deliver value-driven solutions
  • The Profile

  • You have at least 5 years experience including solid experience in a similar role within Retail, Consumer and Hospitality, Leisure, Travel.
  • You have working knowledge of Retail Sales Strategy, Account Management, Negotiation Skills, Client Relationship Building, Market Development, Product Knowledge (Food & Wine), Sales Reporting & Forecasting, Japanese Business Etiquette and Team Collaboration
  • You are a strong networker & relationship builder
  • You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
  • You are willing to undertake 0-30% travel.
