Position : Head of POC (Point-of-Care) / POC事業本部長Location : Tokyo, Japan

Purpose :

  • Pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare for everyone, everywhere in POC Diagnostics, becoming trusted partner for customer by continuously upgrading ourselves.
  • POC Leadership to lead to top IVD company in Japan and to be the best trusted partner for POC customer.
  • Build, lead, and scale a talented team of business managers and sales managers while embedding the positive and unique values of company culture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible and Accountable for strategy and business success
  • Full decision making authority within POC Japan topics in align with Global HQ
  • Japan POC G2M strategy and organizational enhancement
  • Appointment / Org change and performance evaluation of POC-related key personnel in Japan
  • Operative decisions, Escalate issues (price, product etc.) to HQ and solve them in case they cannot be solved internally.
  • Set objectives, KPIs and principle in each sale zone to make business be successful.
  • People and leadership development. Build, lead and coach talented managers
  • Job Description :

  • Responsible and accountable for G2M strategy and business success of POC in Japan (e.g. Product positioning for entire portfolio, pricing, COGS, local cost, Contribution Margin, SG&A, Gross Profit)
  • Focusing on customer, managing POC operational performance and G2M strategy and advancing CRM excellence
  • Develop & execute implementation of POC Zone strategy as well as optimal allocation of resources
  • Align with Global POC HQ on Japan targets (broken down by Business Lines, incl. MTA / MBR) and set targets
  • Drive to achieve Financial targets & implementation of KPI
  • Ensure transparent business planning and develop marketing programs and sales incentive plan.
  • Manage deal escalation process. Handle price escalations
  • Drive POC sales team through sales enablement initiatives and ensuring availability of necessary sales / product trainings
  • Advance CCL by ensuring Value Promises.
  • Maximize synergies with other business areas such as DI, AT, Varian and US, and embody 'One Healthineers' culture
  • Manage and develop dpt managers enabling team to effectively coach and grow themselves.
  • Work closely and collaborate with cross-functionally (DX, DX LS Head, Japan Healthineers, AP HQ, Global HQ)
  • Role model for our values, integrity and compliance
  • Skills and Knowledge

  • 10+ years of professional experience in general business management (inc. sales and product / strategic marketing / Business Development / especially in POC(HPOC as well as primary care) and consumable medical device)
  • Has experience to establish trusted relationship with HQ in English (Working abroad experience is plus )
  • Previously having worked in healthcare industry (medical device / IVD is plus)
  • Has created an inclusive team environment that fosters trust and a sense of empowerment
  • Has proven track record of overachieving business targets
  • Has led a large team (100+)
  • Holds MBA or equivalent general management training is preferred
  • Solid problem solving and decision quality skills
  • Solid strategic thinking, Excellent communication skills, Excellent stakeholders management, Excellent business acumen, Organizational management with Influence.
  • Has passion for growth. Leadership to energize team. Team management with Influence
  • Digital literacy to make best use of CRM tools
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English communication
