Responsibilities

Primary Objectives :

Contribute to the fund operations with key external partners and ensure operational excellence on BAU fund operations of a Japanese fund management company, 100% owned by a major French bank.

Duties :

Contribute to the key BAU operations, covering fund operations for both Japanese and Cayman funds and reporting. That includes (not limited to) fund static setup, fund valuation, trade processing, cash management, reconciliation, regulatory reporting , preparation of financial statement for Fund audit,, performance / risk reporting for Asset management division and sub / reds processing , dividend / distribution on distribution side.

Contribute to processes creation and optimization based on market best practices with open mindset. Propose changes on various operational aspects of the firm including technology, human resources, and risk management.

Oversee and monitor outsourcing providers (MO / BO, Fund accounting, Portfolio Management & Accounting)

Monitor market changes and regulatory developments to ensure that the funds comply with relevant laws and regulations. Notably, manage the accurate and timely production of regulatory reporting.

Cooperate with other departments, such as risk management, compliance, and finance, to ensure that all processes are aligned and that the funds are operating effectively.

Interact and work well with Group internal stakeholders and external parties, such as distributors, counterparties, trust banks, administrators, and fund auditors for all fund related operation.

Contribute to the development and execution of the firm roadmap and project participation.

Profile required

Above 5 years onshore funds accounting and operations relevant experience with a successful candidate is expected to autonomously :

Manage daily flows of fund operations leading to and including NAV publishing,

Strive to avoid and deal with operational incidents, including perform funds valuation correction.

Proficient with T-STAR and able to leverage portfolio management front-to-back systems. Experience with other portfolio management system will be a plus ( Simcorp / Aladdin / EZE Geneva)

Good knowledge of financial instruments characteristics and operations including OTC swaps, listed futures, equities, bonds, onshore / offshore funds (offshore fund experience would be a clear advantage.

Both process development and hands-on experience with Japanese funds operations.

General handling of MS Office tools is required. (Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook)

Prone to automate processes, some programming capability and overall IT sensitivity is expected.

Experience in launching new funds and working with business on new structuring will be beneficial.

Open-minded, flexible with can-do attitude adapted to a company prone to innovation.

Genuine team player with communication ability to interact well with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
