Molex is seeking a Sourcing and Procurement professional to manage our new product across the Consumer & Commercial Solutions (CCS) division and to manage Japan NPD Sourcing team. This role reports to Sr. Manager, CCS NPD Sourcing. As a Manager of New Product Development Sourcing, you will be responsible to enhance NPD sourcing capability and increase competitiveness of new products, to promote cross-functional collaboration and foster a culture of innovation providing value to the business. And also to manage team for Sourcing, project planning and management, executing sourcing events, developing BOM cost models and regular reports to management. NPD Sourcing Team member will serve as the sourcing single point of contact for the product development teams supporting the sourcing activities of all BOM line items for product development projects. During the project execution you will work with category management and SBM team to execute sourcing and supplier strategies. As the project gets closer to launch, you will work with Division sourcing for mass production hand over. You will assist the sourcing systems team to complete SAP set up. This role is also challenged to improve the supplier selection process and innovation through the new product introduction process. As one of New Product Development Sourcing team manager, you support market analysis and RFI process to find potential new suppliers in low cost countries. Developing new strategic suppliers in low cost country is an important business imperative and this role is key to achieving this goal amongst supporting new product lunch goals such as new business win rate and costing accuracy of products.

What You Will Do

• Partner with Molex BU design teams throughout Product Development process to manage BOM cost up to Product Launch
• New product supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting for the CCS division
• Bring Design to Value (Manufacturing, Quality, Cost, etc.) viewpoint to Product design team
• Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decision
• Aggressively negotiate terms as required and in accordance with internal policies
• Negotiate legal terms under the guidance of the internal legal support team
• Improve New Product Sourcing processes and increase efficiencies by partnering with technical design teams
• Apply appropriate category strategies (Metals, Plastics, Electronics, and Outsourcing etc.) to new product sourcing needs
• Proactive supply risk management in the new product development process and initial volume phase.
• Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends in the marketplace
• Assist Division SBM team aligned with team’s goal and strategy.
• Assist to ensure Raw Material Suppliers production ramp-up & delivery. Support Shortages & escalations with sense of urgency, supply related issues, quality issues, and delivery performance improvement together with Internal stakeholder
