About the location :

The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company’s second destination in Japan, in the city’s historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also be 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.

The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for an F&B Guest Relations Officer in Food & Beverage. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons.

Responsibilities

The F&B Guest Relations Officer is the guest’s first impression of the restaurant, with knowledge of menus, menu ingredients and guest preferences.

Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, su pervisors and all departments.

  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Seat and allocate reservations to each meal period, guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference, special occasions.
  • Anticipate the needs of guests, respond accordingly to guest inquiries or problems, and recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest’s name consistently.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and Supervisors.
  • Good communication with Chefs.
  • Informing management when VIPs visit the outlet.
  • Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
  • Set up host and hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations as to the set-up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for the restaurant while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server in order to meet Four Seasons Service standards.
  • Answer telephones according to Four Seasons standards and take guest reservations or provide information regarding the restaurant or any other hotel service
  • Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
  • Table solution management.
  • Menu updates and Menu upkeep.
  • Inventory of all stationaries.
  • Go beyond guest expectations creating memorable moment.
  • Take care of guest’s belongings, manage the cloak room.
  • Manage guests lost and found following procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of F&B.
