The Opportunity

The Customer Quality Engineer is a critical link between Allegro and our valued customers in Japan. You will be responsible for managing complaints of quality and reliability for Allegro's products, driving customer satisfaction, and fostering strong, long-term relationships.

What You Will Do

Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with assigned customers.

Proactively communicate with customers to understand complaint details, their specific requirements and expectations.

Conduct regular on-site visits to customer facilities to build relationships and gain a deep understanding of their applications and processes.

Collaborate with Allegro's internal teams (design, manufacturing, test engineering) to ensure products meet or exceed customer quality standards.

Understand technical aspect of quality issues to establish trusts and close cases smoothly

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for customer returns and quality issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defect rates.

Develop a strong technical understanding of Allegro's product portfolio, including magnetic sensors, motor drivers, and power management ICs.

Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and quality documentation to identify potential risks and ensure alignment with Allegro's capabilities.

Provide technical support to customers during product integration and production ramp-up.

Participate in Allegro or OSAT production / test audits by customers

Act as a quality project lead for each complaint to facilitate external / internal communications

3 way calls between Allegro, customers and OSAT in Japanese and English speaking dynamics

Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex quality challenges.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to convey technical information to diverse audiences.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductors, or a related technical discipline.

5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role within semiconductor or electronics industry.

Proven track record of successfully resolving stressful critical customer issues and driving process improvements for major customers, by using 8D, Fault Tree Analysis and other problem-solving tools.

Lead customer audits at Allegro overseas locations and manufacturing partners

Strong understanding of quality tools such as FTA, Fishbone, 5Whys, and 8D report system.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

Able to manage / balance internal stakeholders' interests and customers' interest.

Have high stress tolerance under auto-OEM and Tier 1 customers.

high attention to details focusing on finding resolutions while maintaining balance between Allegro and customers

Fluency in Japanese and English is essential.
