As Director, you will drive transformative initiatives that foster business growth and strategic excellence.
You will collaborate with top executives and regional leaders to align on critical business objectives and implement innovative strategies.
Additionally, you will have oversight of external partnerships and M&A initiatives, supporting the company's innovation and growth agenda. This position involves leading teams and directly supervising several full-time employees.
It requires strategic thinking, effective stakeholder management, attention to detail, proficiency in external collaborations, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing initiatives simultaneously. Key Responsibilities : Lead the development and execution of company-wide mid-term strategies through the 3YGP (3-Year Growth Plan) process :
- Develop a comprehensive company-wide 3YGP integrating business unit and function strategic plans.
- Ensure the approval of the 3YGP with the Management Operating Committee (MOC), regional and global leaders.
- Formulate annual company-wide strategic priorities based on the 3YGP and rollout to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Shape strategic priorities and direct project management by corporate strategy team of company-wide initiatives :
- Supervise project management, anticipate and / or address issues and risks as needed.
- Ensure MOC members achieve milestones and desired outcomes in a timely manner.
- Foster engagement and collaboration among SLT members and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the company-wide initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement and simplification of business planning processes. Oversee the Japan Business Development (BD) team to identify and evaluate novel and innovative business opportunities, focusing on unmet customer and market needs, in order to foster inorganic growth for MedTech Japan and the global MedTech enterprise. Ensure project management of MedTech innovation initiatives deliver business results and accelerate competitive growth :
- Create the road map for innovation projects and follow-up activities to visualize from market creation, increasing awareness through to adoption after product launch.
- Establish criteria for participation in the global New Product Development (NPD) process to incorporate insights from Japan into global projects and create a platform to integrate Japanese innovation into the global R&D process.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, in addition to external targets aligned to business opportunities. Organize key leadership engagements to accelerate execution of business goals and priorities, including the bi-annual SLT Meeting and support the President’s Office and MOC activities as required, such as business reviews and stage-gate discussions for external partnerships and key technology investments. Manage and lead the Corporate Strategy & Innovation team to deliver high quality output and to ensure robust talent development.
- Foster a culture of coaching and development while actively accelerating team members' growth through mentorship, constructive feedback, and identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
- Ensure the coordination and facilitation and commitments with other departments, business units, and functions.
- Prepare and monitor department budget and oversee expenses. Key Competencies :
