We are the Advertising Sales Division of Rakuten Group. We utilize the vast data owned by Rakuten to support advertisers in their digital marketing efforts through advertising, research, affiliate programs, and various other marketing solutions.

You will be working as a member of the Sales Planning Department.

The Sales Planning Department supports sales achievement through sales KGI / KPI progress management, as well as the compilation, analysis and execution support of sales figures.

Another important mission is to execute plans to improve productivity.

Working directly under the Sales Manager, you will have the added thrill of being able to support the expansion of advertising sales by acting as a brain behind sales strategy planning.

The Sales Planning division has intensified its efforts in analyzing sales figures, providing insights, and supporting implementation to further assist in revenue expansion. This enhancement is part of a strategic personnel strengthening initiative.

Position Details

As a member of the Sales Planning team in Rakuten's Advertising Sales Department, I am responsible for aggregating, analyzing, and providing insights on sales figures to facilitate the achievement of sales targets. Additionally, I execute various plans to improve sales productivity.

Specifically,

  • Visualizing the progress of sales revenue KGI and KPI using Salesforce and DOMO.
  • Aggregating and analyzing sales figures, providing insights, and making recommendations within the sales department.
  • Conducting market analysis.
  • Serving as the departmental liaison for Salesforce planning and modifications, coordinating with the development team.
  • Planning and managing sales meetings.

I support the Sales Director and Sales Managers by providing accurate analysis and insights to help achieve sales targets.

To provide these insights, I not only rely on numerical data but also engage in communication with sales teams and product managers to hypothesize sales challenges and understand issues.

To ensure sales figures are visible to the sales team in a timely manner, I utilize tools like Salesforce and DOMO. I also negotiate with the development team as the sales department's point of contact to facilitate improvements.

Work Environment

The Sales Planning Division is composed of four members, ranging in age from their 30s to 40s.

All members of the Sales Planning Division are mid-career employees. This department requires knowledge and experience that go beyond desk work, and all members have sales experience. They are leveraging their sales experience to excel in sales planning.

Mandatory Qualifications :

  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel (calculations).
  • Able to aggregate data and create graphs using Excel pivot tables.
  • Capable of using Excel macros.
  • Experienced in using Salesforce and DOMO.

    A TOEIC score of 800 or above, or equivalent proof of English proficiency, such as a degree from an English-speaking university.
