Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Location : Kanda, Tokyo (on-site)

Travel : Monthly domestic travel to Nagoya or Sagamihara (about once per month)

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the financial operations of a dynamic business unit.

As the key finance contact, you will manage reporting, compliance, and accounting functions while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

This role offers a long-term growth opportunity, as the successful candidate is expected to step into a leadership position within six years.

The current accounting team consists of three members, two of whom are expected to retire within the next six years, making this a key succession planning hire.

Main Duties

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings using ERP systems
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable operations
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Coordinate revenue recognition, invoice processing, and payroll expense entries
• Handle fixed asset and inventory management, including master data and physical counts
• Process lease accounting transactions under IFRS 16
• Collaborate on tax filings with external advisors and support financial audits
• Maintain and report financial data using corporate reporting tools
• Participate in business integration and ERP implementation projects
• Serve as the point of contact for finance-related system matters
