Tasks :
Oversee, manage and support, in close alignment with the Head of Trademark Renewal Operations, the day to day operations of the Dennemeyer Trademark Renewals team in Japan
Assure that operational processes are being followed and respected
Act as liaison with business development and marketing teams in Japan on comprehensive expansion strategies
Establish and document criteria for selecting, training and managing staff
Partner with other departments / entities of the company to establish efficient inter-departmental procedures and processes
Prepare / monitor the local business area budget
Perform pricing and competitive analysis, stay informed about new market trends, and recommend strategies to improve market position collaborating together with Business Development and sales team to grow the trademark renewal business
Profile :
Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach and comfortable leading results-driven teams
4+ years service line management experience, preferably for an IP service provider
General knowledge of intellectual property / trademark terms and concepts preferred
Conceptual skills and aptitude for problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English and Japanese is mandatory
Ability to present and coordinate activity with the business development teams, write responses to RFPs and present service offerings to prospective customers
Ability to work with customers to help define / clarify their needs and expand the scope of services provided to them
Familiarity with IP Management systems, such as DIAMS iQ is preferred
