What you will do. A glimpse in your role :

As a member of the Payments Group at Global Blue, you’ll contribute to enhancing payment solutions for retailers and hotels by supporting acquirers with innovative technologies. Our mission is to improve the overall consumer payment journey through cutting-edge products, including :

FX Solutions (Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), Multi Currency Pricing (MCP)

Payment Gateway (Hotel & Retail gateway, eCommerce gateway, Tokenization)

Financial Processing (White Label Acquiring, Third party processing)

You’ll be part of the Merchant Implementation & Support Team – Asia Pacific, where you’ll drive implementation projects and help deliver seamless payment services to Japanese customers. You’ll also serve as a key liaison across internal and external teams, handling both technical and operational matters.

Typical Activities Include :

Gather implementation requirements from customers, including hotels, vendors, and local card acquirers.

Guide merchants in understanding local payment integration practices in Japan.

Support internal Sales and Product teams with implementation know-how.

Help manage and resolve implementation or migration challenges.

Coordinate external projects with acquirers, merchants, and partners.

Your responsibilities include :

Assist the Implementation Manager with projects focused on the Japanese market.

Create and update technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

Communicate with internal support teams to resolve implementation and technical issues.

Present and explain our services to customers and partners.

Collaborate with internal teams to maintain implementation schedules.

Attend client-facing meetings and support on-site implementations when needed.

Engage with external stakeholders including acquirers, payment service providers, terminal vendors, and technology partners (PMS, POS, KIOSK, online / mobile services).

Maintain communication with approximately 60% internal and 40% external focus.

Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if :

Must have :

Minimum 2 to 3 years in Hotel IT experience.

Strong communication skills in Japanese (fluent) and English (business level).

Customer service experience within the hospitality industry.

Familiarity with hotel IT systems such as Opera, Toshiba, TAB PMS, Simphony, Shiji, etc.

Nice-to-have :

Experience in system / software implementation or requirement documentation.

Experience in the payments industry.

Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Background in system / software development projects or IT B2B services.
