Cloud Architect (CA) is responsible for delivering best-in-class services to CSS customers operating in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure design, migration, implementation, and operations.
CA will provide strategic and hands-on support to customers across their cloud journey, from initial assessment and design to workload migration and operational design (including monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and availability strategies). The architect is expected to ensure alignment with Oracle best practices and service delivery standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CSS customers by providing expert guidance on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization strategies across Oracle private, public, and multi-cloud environments.
- Assess customer requirements, design cloud architectures aligned with Oracle best practices, and ensure that solutions meet business and technical objectives.
- Lead the design, deployment, and migration of on-premises workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including hybrid and multi-cloud integrations.
- Collaborate closely with customer technical teams, project managers, and regional / global stakeholders to deliver high-quality service engagements.
- Provide technical leadership during engagements, including solution architecture design, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of service delivery methodologies, best practices, and reusable assets based on field experience and Oracle standards.
- Support information security operations by designing secure, compliant cloud environments.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, Oracle product updates, and industry best practices, and share knowledge across the team.
- Support other CSS team, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development within the team.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, designing and implementing solutions on major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and operations design, including, Monitoring, Backup and recovery, High availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Proven track record in delivering practical cloud migration projects from on-prem environments, including planning, discovery, design, implementation, and operational handover
- 3–5 years of experience in the cloud services and IT industry, with proven project-based experience in architecting and deploying cloud and virtualization solutions for enterprise customers
- Sufficient English communication skills to collaborate effectively with regional and global teams.
- Ability to communicate smoothly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in preparing clear and effective presentation materials tailored to the audience
- Practical experience in cloud security architecture, including, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network security (., security groups, firewalls, segmentation).
- Proficiency in designing cloud network infrastructure including, Closed Network, L2 extension, Virtual networks, subnets, routing, VPN.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
- Knowledge of cloud-native security services and integration with SIEM / SOAR platforms
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture
- Understanding of Oracle Database, Middleware, and PaaS platforms
