About the Position :
At Chugai Pharmaceutical, we continuously strive to create innovative medicines and provide solutions for unmet medical needs by combining our unique modality technologies with drug discovery concepts based on disease mechanisms. To deliver new drugs to patients quickly with limited resources, it is essential to efficiently advance the numerous drug discovery projects running within the company. At the Chugai Life Science Park Yokohama (Chugai LSP Yokohama), which began operations in 2023, we handle a vast number of samples and data daily, conducting various experiments and data analyses. However, we aim to further enhance the overall research output of Chugai LSP Yokohama by improving the efficiency of the drug discovery process. To accelerate drug discovery research, it is crucial to understand the flow and overall picture of the research, identify the needs for research work efficiency while collaborating with each researcher, and strongly promote and strengthen lab automation to achieve optimal inter-device connectivity, data flow optimization, and automated experimental systems.
You will :
Design comprehensive research systems including the integration of multiple devices, by understanding and considering the flow of samples and data through collaboration with each researcher.
Develop and implement a control system for managing data and information flow across the network between devices.
Investigation, introduction, and development of automation technologies
In addition to technical knowledge such as API integration and database construction, the candidate will be responsible for investigating the specifications and identifying / solving technical issues of newly introduced control devices and experimental equipment, as well as constructing data integration with peripheral devices. This position requires initiative, flexible thinking, and creativity.

Desired experience :
Experience in system development using database construction and API
Experience in computer programming (Python, SQL, C#, JavaScript (Vue.js or React), etc.) and web application (UI) development.

Ph.D. or corresponding expertise with a master's degree in a field of Medicine, Pharmacology, Engineering or Biology.
