Department Overview

The Cloud Management Department Portfolio and Finance Management Group is responsible for the entire Rakuten Group cloud. You will have the opportunity to shape Rakuten’s cloud investment strategy to best fit the varied needs of Rakuten’s many diverse businesses.

Position Details

You will join the Portfolio and Finance Management Group which is based out of Rakuten Head office in Tokyo, Japan.

You will work closely with stakeholders inside and outside of our department including cloud service providers and end users.

While we primarily use English to communicate, there are plenty of opportunities to use Japanese language as well.

Responsibilities

• Maximize Rakuten’s return on investment in Cloud infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand and align the Cloud service portfolio to Rakuten overall business strategy and objectives.
• Proactively assess how changes in Rakuten business direction or policies may impact to cloud usage.
• Propose prioritization and allocation for our human and IT resources across the portfolio.
• Stakeholder management of cloud service provider teams, technical account management teams, and end users to establish priorities and achieve the goals.
• Stay up to date on global market trends and position yourself and Rakuten to establish new future trends.
