About this Position
The Cluster Quality of Japan & Korea is responsible for end-to-end quality management across Henkel’s seven manufacturing sites in Japan and South Korea. This role is a cluster Quality leadership role ensuring the execution of
- Henkel’s global quality standards
- Fostering a Zero-Defect culture and customer intimacy
- Drives digital transformation to simplify, standardize and drive efficiency
- Develops people / competencies / critical talent pipeline and
- Delivers key initiatives aligned with AOQ(Adhesive Operations, Quality)'s PDIs(Policy Deployment Index) and performance KPI’s
What you´ll do
Quality System Deployment
Ensure full implementation and governance of Henkel’s five global quality fundamentals across all JPKR plants :
Statistical Quality Control (SQC)Management of Change (MOC)Critical to Quality (CtQ) StandardsProblem Solving Tools (FRPS - Fast Response Problem Solving / A3 / Six Sigma)Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA)Achieve 100% compliance with mandatory minimum CtQ standards by target deadlines.Conduct monthly MOC / ADP(Adhesives Development Process) governance reviews at each site to ensure proactive quality risk control.Implement MOC / NPI(New Product Introduction) tools across sites and complete FRPS training at all required locations.Performance & Risk Management
Drive reduction in product-related complaints to meet annual targets, categorized by defect location (country of origin).Deploy DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies to support risk mitigation in all new ADP projects, including projects for Electronics & Automotive Business (Songdo and Eumseong).Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
Establish and drive structured problem-solving approaches (A3, 8D, FRPS) across all levels of the organization.Lead root cause investigations and resolution of major customer quality complaints to eliminate systemic gaps and prevent recurrencePeople & Competency Development
Drive the structured approach with HR and internal processes to ensure right people / organization and staffing based on needs (blue-print)Identify key talents, critical pipeline management and skills developmentStakeholder management
Actively management internal (Business Units / Purchasing / Global Functions / Regional teams / DX / AOD) and external stakeholders (Customers / Auditors / Consultants etc) for issue management or continuous improvementsWhat makes you a good fit
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical etc)Multi-site Quality Management experience in leadership role or a related technical discipline.8–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality management, preferably in chemical, automotive or electronics industries.Proven track record of deploying global quality systems such as SQC, MOC, PFMEA, and problem solving tools in multi-site environments.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams in a matrix organization.Strong customer-facing skills, with experience managing quality expectations of tier-1 global clientsUnderstanding of Quality Standards and Requirements including ISO / VDA / IATF / PPAP etcCertified in Six Sigma / Lean Management / Auditor Experience / Root Cause AnalysisMulti-lingual (English / Korean / Japanese etc) and strong communicatorSome perks of joining Henkel
